Hugo de Sousa is the Founder & CEO of Mars Shot – Redefining Limits* an AI strategist and university lecturer with 28 years of experience across Europe, Africa and the Middle East*. His career spans hands-on technology delivery, product development, innovation leadership and enterprise digital transformation. He advises boards and executive teams, including in banking, on AI strategy, governance and adoption, with a growing focus on Physical AI and robotics.
Previously Head of Innovation at Capita Plc (UK) and BearingPoint UK & Ireland, and Head of Digital Transformation at Turismo de Portugal, he also served as a Visiting Lecturer at Bayes Business School in London.
He founded Alphappl, Portugal’s first coding school, inspired by École 42, and WeHelpUkraine.org, under the High Patronage of the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
Hugo is an aircraft pilot and ATPL(A) student.
